Hello all,
I had the opportunity to go to Dave Stone's military funeral at the Arlington Cemetery on July 14th. Although he passed late last year, Faith, his wife, his brother and sisters are still deeply affected by his passing. The Navy honor guard performed their duty during the services flawlessly. As the funeral procession made its long journey to a remote part of the cemetery my eyes watered as I remembered the many good times with Dave or Stoney as many teammates called him.
The jets flew over, the final rife salute, taps, and finally a piper playing Amazing Grace with the final tunes were played as he disappeared over the hillside in which Dave now rests.
I hope many of you if you have a chance to visiit Washington DC and to go to Arlington Cemetery to pay respect to him as well as the rest of our Nation's greatest heroes.
