Debra Ann Blanchfield, 69, of Port Charlotte, FL and formerly of Ellicot City, MD died on September 23, 2021. She was born on July 21, 1952 to the parents of Rex and Mary Maddox in Chicago, IL. She spent 30 years as the administrative assistant and owner's wife for Oak Tree Furniture before retiring in 2019. She was always one to be doing kind things for others.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Blanchfield; one daughter, Vanessa (Mike) McQuire-McIntyre of Florida; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Julie Orr of Burlingame, CA; two stepsons, Steven Blanchfield of Jessup, Maryland and Mark (Ashley) Blanchfield of Sykesville, MD; daughter in law, Nancy Bosley Orr; six granddaughters, Alexis (Andy) Algers of Manchester, MD, Kassidy Ann Bell of Fredrick, MD, Alexis Orr of Maryland, Nyha Bosley Orr, Nollie Bosley Orr, and Taylor Blanchfield of Sykesville, MD; one grandson, Wyatt Blanchfield; one great grandson, A.J. Algers; one sister, Dale (Frank) Carpentersville, IL; sister in law, Rose (Bob Hinton) Platzke of Elkridge, MD; one niece, Jaque (Dave) Johnson of Colorado; three nephews, John (Tymoco) McGoldrick of CA, Aaron Peluso of Cary, IL and Vincent Peluso of Chicago, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Denise Cunat of Carpentersville, IL; son, Justin Robert Orr of Laurel, MD; and twin boys, Michael and Dennis.

Services will be held at a later date in Ellicot City, MD. Notice will be placed when known. In lieu of flowers, please direct any memorial contributions to an animal shelter, the protection of any abused animals, or any organization helping wildlife. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is in charge of arrangements.
