Mike Voigt died peacefully in Queretaro, Mexico, on March 10, 2023, of cancer. He is survived by his wife, Tete, his son, Pablo, and his daughter, Daniela.
Mike was a scholar and enjoyed a wonderfully rich library in his home. He loved to share his vast knowledge of history. He was very aware of the needs of others and spoke often about social justice. He was gracious, loving, gentle, and generous.
Everyone who knew him will remember him fondly.

I was sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. He was a really nice guy and had lots of good times with him and others in the Class of 70. I remember eating breakfast at the Town Pump like it was yesterday.

Mike Voigt was one of the nicest people on earth. He was passionate about his views and was a great listener. I got to speak with Mike shortly before his passing and even though he was dealing with this horrible disease he was his jovial self. RIP Mike.
