Mary Margaret Pawlak, age 70, of Carpentersville passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Mary was born in Chicago on September 11, 1952, and was the only child born to the late Leonard and Margaret (nee Yahn) Pawlak. Prior to retirement, Mary was a teacher by profession. Mary is survived by a friend Shawn Wozniak. She was preceded in death by her parents. At Mary’s request, there will be no visitation or services. She will be cremated and inurned at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Hillside. Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee is assisting the family with all arrangements.
